About this site

A twelve-question self-observation quiz across four skin types. Here is what it is, what it is not, and how it is made.

What it is

This is a self-observation quiz. It asks twelve questions about what your skin actually does in everyday situations, and it places you at one of four skin types — Oily, Dry, Sensitive, or Acne-Prone. The result is a pattern, not a verdict: you get your type, its description, a basic routine, and your own scores.

The scoring is shown to you. Every result displays the four type scores as numbers, so you can see exactly why you landed where you did — and disagree.

What it is not

It is not dermatology, not a diagnosis, and not medical advice. It does not diagnose a skin condition, and it is not a substitute for a dermatologist. Nobody here is presented as a licensed dermatologist or esthetician. It describes a pattern you can already see in how your skin behaves.

Why no product is ever named

Every recommendation on this site is a category or an active-ingredient class — "a niacinamide serum," "a mineral SPF 30+" — never a brand, a retailer, or a specific product. A named product is a claim this site cannot back: it cannot know your budget, availability, or how your skin will respond to a specific formula. A category is durable, honest, and still actionable — you can search that exact phrase and find several correct answers.

When to see a real dermatologist

If you have a real dermatological concern — acne that is not responding to a gentle routine, a mole that has changed, persistent pain or swelling — see an actual dermatologist. This is the one place on the site that says so, and it is not repeated as a hedge on every page.

How the site is funded

The free result and every skin-type page are complete on their own. A single optional gate beneath the free result adds the full morning and night routine. That gate is how the site is funded, and it is stated plainly. Nothing you answer is ever sold or shared.
